This beautiful 15.6" color touch screen interface provides an amazing user experience not available on any other system. No more fumbling with a small screen on a portable player or running the risk of guests damaging your portable player. No mouse or keyboard!
Works with most iPods and portable mp3 players (no iTouch or iPhone support at this time). It will even work with portable hard disks, thumb drives or just about anything that contains mp3 files that can be plugged into a USB port. The system also includes at 160GB internal hard disk for more advanced users that may wish to have their library stored internally.
You can connect 2 separate players and designate one as the "house" player and one as the "guest" player. When your friends come over, they can plug their portable player into TraXess® and play their music through your system without copying any music! You can then switch between "house" and "guest" players and queue up music from both devices simultaneously.
Search by Album (with album art displayed if available on your player), Artist or Song Title. No matter which way you choose to browse, you can also "filter" your browse by Genre (i.e. - Rock, Country, etc). Quickly move throughout your entire collection with simple touch screen controls.
Simply type in any key word(s) using the on-screen keyboard and both "House" and "Guest" players will be searched by Song Title and Artist using your search criteria. What could be easier?
When you touch any song, you can choose to play the song, the entire album or the entire play list (if applicable). It doesn't get any easier than this!
It's like having your own radio station! Better than just a "random" play feature, "Auto Play" allows you to select one or more Genre's, select the amount of time you want (up to 12 /12 hours) and press start! That's it, you'll hear random music from only the genre(s) you have selected for the time period you have requested. Great for holidays too. For example, just select "Christmas" as your genre, select a period of time and you'll enjoy just Christmas music for as long as you want selected randomly from your entire collection.
Using the "System" function, you can quickly display all of the music in the queue along with stats on your connected players including the # of Songs, Albums and Artists available on each player.
You don't necessarily want anyone to be able to connect or disconnect players or perform other critical functions. Here's a list of some of the extended features available when you enter your administrative PIN within the "System" function.
Skips the song that is currently playing and moves on to the next song in the queue.
Select any song in the queue and remove it from the queue.
Removes all of the songs in the player queue.
Change the administrator PIN at any time for added security.
This is a VERY cool feature. By default, TraXess® allows unlimited play. But if you are in a situation where there are a lot of people (big party, public venue, etc) then you can enable this feature. This allows you to limit the amount of time available on the jukebox. When this feature is enabled, only the person with the administrator PIN can add more time to the jukebox. Then, when users select music it deducts from the available time as they select each song until there is no more time available.
